What We Do
We run a weekly clinic specialising in the surgical treatment of ingrown toenails.
We offer a procedure, called 'partial nail avulsion' (with or without phenolisation), which is carried out under local anesthetic. It is the most commonly used method of surgical repair worldwide, and we can advise which treatment, if any, is best suited to you.
During the procedure, you will be awake, but will feel no pain.
Is it for you?
This surgery is suitable for individuals for whom previous treatments such as those provided by your podiatrists have failed. It is also suitable for more severe, recurrent or infected ingrown toenails.
The surgery both adults and children over the age of 12.
Depending on procedure used, return to work is typically within 2-3 days, return to sport takes longer. If phenol is applied, full recovery can take far longer, often weeks.
